This was the case of a young family who recently came from the United States to live in Glasgow and struggled to find rented accommodation prior to arriving in Scotland. As the current system generally requires the tenant to be physically present for all the aspects of setting up a tenancy agreement and generally estate agents manifesting very little flexibility, the pressure was mounting for the couple before moving date.

“We had a five year old and a two months old baby and my husband got an academic position here so we needed to relocate from the United States.
