West of Scotland Local Lockdown
Property market to carry on through West of Scotland Local Lockdown
Following the Scottish Government’s announcement on the evening of 1st September 2020 that additional restrictions have been introduced for people living in Glasgow City, East Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire, Clyde Property have sought guidance and clarification on how these local measures impact the operation housing market from our governing body, Propertymark who are in regular dialogue with the Scottish Government.
The property market has not been shut down by these local lockdown measures and whilst the restricted measures centre on preventing separate households meeting indoors in social settings, there are allowances for tradespeople or those entering for a business function.
Accordingly, Clyde Property will continue to operate but with extra vigilance and will of course still adhere to the hygiene, PPE and social distancing measures in the existing Scottish Government guidance on moving home and Propertymark best practice and guidance on house viewings, moves, and maintenance.
The local restrictions have been introduced for an initial two-week period from midnight on 1st September 2020 and will be reviewed in seven days.
